  Unmanaged Exception when importing media (AVI) in Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 10 Platinum.

  Whenever I try to add an AVI file to Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD 10 the same error message always comes up. The strange thing is, I’ve been using Sony Vegas for a few months now and this is the first time this has been happening. I looked up some things and it said that I shouldn’t have a codec installed so I uninstalled my CCCP codec, which I had when I was running Vegas fine, but the error still happened. This all just happened all of a sudden so I’m getting really frustrated. Please help me.

  I’m using a Dell Inspiron 1545 with 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium with 4gb of RAM memory.

  If the avi that are causing the problem come from the same camera as ones that worked before, I would just do a system restore to before it started happening.

  Actually, right after I posted this, I figured out the problem. One of the AVI files I was using was corrupted. The other files were working fine and I re-encoded the corrupted file and now its working perfect.
