  DVD Architect

  I am trying to burn a video that’s 1hr and 25 minutes.
  The amount of disc space required is 5.3 gb-My dvd is 4.7. Is there a way to lessen the quality and still fit this on one disc??

  It migh actually fit. DVDA is notorious for overestimating.
  You could use a Bitrate calculator too, like this one https://www.johncline.com/bitcalc110.zip

  If you are using DVD Architect just try using the FIT TO DISC option on the bottom left when you click on OPTIMIZE DISC
