  White layer in clips when pan/cropping

  Hey,

  I’ve been having this problem for a while with some of my projects.
  Whenever I go to pan/crop a clip, as soon as the pan/crop starts my clips brightness will increase quite a lot. It looks like a white light layer over my clip. Then, when the pan or crop event ends, the clip will return to the correct brightness.

  I’ve had quite a big look into this with my limited knowledge of Sony Vegas pro 9.0 and cannot find the reason for it. There are no video FX active in the clip, just the pan/crop event. Why is this happening? 🙁

  That is indeed odd…Never heard of that issue before.
  Does this occurs when you have anything editing on the timeline
  and bring up the pan/crop?

  Nope, even if I have only 1 clip that has no Media FX added in an entirely new project, and i go to pan/crop it, throughout the entire pan/crop event i get the white layer (like increase brightness) then when the pan/crop event ends, it returns to normal.

  I could upload an example to youtube to show you what I mean?

  At a guess, it could be an auto exposure setting on the camera when the footage is shot. Or does it only happen when the footage is imported to Vegas?
