Program to cut footage fast!
Hey! It is not practical for me to load a raw video into Sony Vegas and render small pieces only to see it on a small preview screen.
Is there a program that will allow me to cut the video into small pieces so I can just drag it into Sony Vegas and have it all ready to compile? Instead of cutting and preparing it in Sony Vegas

Why would you have to do that? Why not use the Trimmer to preview and only add the parts you want to the timeline?

I know of no program that’s faster than Vegas for editing video. I think you might want to look into how to use the trimmer.

If your doing this for yourself to view, then John is right. If you want to make small clips from a large one without rendering, here’s a free app just for that. It can split and merge without rendering.

Ok in trimmer I try to play the video but it is either doesn’t work it it is really laggy

Does the full video play fine in media player? Vegas’s preview window usually doesn’t give the same frate as media player. Try the free file splitter app. You can split and play each chunk in media player, vlc, ect.

Thanks I tried that but it says the file is unrecognizable
