    Hi,

    I currently perform a lot of editing using CS4 in both Premiere and After Effects. I find that in After Effects, especially when I use particle systems or complex camera moves with depth of field turned on, that rendering is very slow. If I was to install one of the Matrox RT.X2 cards into this machine would this significantly improve the rendering speed in After Effects?

    We shoot with Sony cameras – HVR-Z1P, HVR-Z5P, HVR-V1P, HDR-FX7E

    The current PC hardware details are as follows;

    Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6
    Intel Q6600
    8Gb RAM Corsair PC8500
    Quadro FX570
    SATA2 drives

    Running Vista64 Ultimate & CS4

    Kind Regards,
    Danny

    Thanks for the info – I’m not looking for instantaneous but it would be nice to render a 30 sec clip in less than 6-7 hours.
