  • Remove Animation track from media

    I’ve got a plain Text media track, which used to be animated, now it’s not supposed to be. there is only one keyframe, but there is still animation going on. I made sure to click the match media length to timeline duration button, but there is still motion on the text’s placement. I can drag the keyframe all the way to the left, and the motion isn’t visible, since it fades in, and it would be simple to just rebuild the text media, but..

    was wondering: can I not completely remove the animation track? (The inverse of clicking the ‘Animate’ Button?)

    using Vegas Pro 10e.

    Make sure that you only have one keyframe and that the keyframe is at the start of the animation track (which you may have already done). There should be no motion after that.

    Don’t forget to check the (text generator) position tab, the pan crop keyframes and the track motion for the whole track.

    all of the above was done, yet the motion remained. I just rebuilt it. I don’t understand why I can just “unclick” the animate button to disable the animation track (other than it’s not been programmed that way).
