alpha overlay
Good afternoon,
I am using Sony Vegas 10.0E and am trying to make the still picture I have imported to replace the green within an alpha area stay in place as the alpha area moves around on the screen, but I can’t accomplish it. I would like to lock the still picture to the alpha area, no matter where the alpha area moves around to. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Please confirm you have:
– Green Screened Alpha on Track 1
– Still Picture on Track 2

Yes, I do. Here is what the screen looks like at one point. However, the cell phone moves around some, but the picture in it does not. I want the picture to move perfectly with the cell phone.

If you’re not using a motion tracking tool like that found in Boris Continuum Complete, then you need to use keyframes to compensate for the movement.
If there’s a lot of movement, you’ll need to use a lot of keyframes which means a lot of time to do this 🙁 -
I was afraid of that. I was hoping for a way to simply lock the image to the alpha area and the two would move around together. Thanks for your help.
