Stuttering Video on Timeline
Hello, everyone. I’ve run into a little problem and decided to sign up here to see if I can get some answers. Here’s my situation: I’m making a short video highlighting a line of boxing gloves. The footage was recorded at the matches, from what I assume is a professional camera. The technical aspects of the clips are as follows.
Format: ffdshow Video Codec
Attributes: 704x362x24 (I believe they were upscaled?)
Frame Rate: 29.970 (NTSC)
Field Orde: None (Progressive Scan)
Type: .AVINow, the issue I’m having here is that when I try to put it on the timeline to preview it, it becomes terribly jumpy, and causes Vegas 10 to hang for a moment. The strange part is that it works just fine in the trimmer. No hanging, lagging, or anything. Although the audio stopped working just now for some reason.
If I Selectively Pre-render or Build A Dynamic RAM preview, it will play the clips on the timeline alright. I don’t think it’s my PC because I’m currently running an i7 930 with 6GB of RAM.
Any thoughts?
