Wanting to get familiar with the BCC 7 Extruded Spline plugin and Vegas I went and put together a little project. In doing so I followed the excellent tutorial on the Boris site by John Rofano. I put it all together and rendered it out. I am a bit perplexed as to why the animation is a bit jerky and inconsistent. I copied the first event after the keyframing and pasted the event attributes to the rest.

I expected a better result. I went back in and tried to change the keyframes to smooth, but the program did not respond or allow that change. Here is the clip:

    Hey Mike,

Send me your project file and I’ll take a look at it. No need to send any media, I’ll substitute my own. You can find my email on the contacts page of my web site. It sure does look like some of the keyframes are not behaving correctly.

Hey Mike, Here’s what I found in that veg file:

Track 2, Event 6: MVI_2005.MOV is missing all keyframes

Track 2, Event 8: MVI_1910.MOV is missing the last keyframe

Both of these can easily be fixed by removing BCC Spline from events 6 and 8 and using Copy and Paste Event Attributes to restore the FX from a working event. On Event 8 you could also fix it by adding a final keyframe at 00:00:05;00 with a Rotate Y value of 90.

I’ve send the fixed project back to you but it’s just as easy to fix yourself so you know how to resolve this the next time it happens.

Thank you so much, John. As I explained in my response to the email I need to measure twice and cut once..;^)

I appreciate you taking the time and helping me with all of this stuff whether it is my problem or others. I would not be anywhere near the better without it. Thanks again
