You can use either automation or use a volume envelope….the later is easier…

Thanks Stephen, I used to do that in Cubase, but the envelope was always on the audio track so I wasn’t sure I could do that in this program. Although I am finding I can do a lot of things that we thought we were going to have to purchase a different DAW. But it can all be done in this package.

Pretty much everything but midi tracks and virtual instruments. Vegas was audio for the first few versions. It sees direct x and vst plugins too. If your not using midi tracks, save your money as Vegas works fine as a DAW.

That’s one of the secrets of Vegas – it is a perfectly capable audio editor. I have Sound Forge, but I only use it for serious noise cleanup with the Noise Reduction plug-in for Sound Forge. Everything else I do in Vegas.
