Problem with Ratio?
The video I am trying to edit is square in shape. 4:3??? After I upload it to Youtube I want it to be wide and have black borders at the top and bottom. In other words I don’t want the video to fill the whole Youtube video. In order to do this I went into Event Pan/Crop and changed it to 1.85:1 and even dragged it to be a little bit thinner. The problem with this is that it now only covers a very small area of the video. When veiwing the original video in GOM media player I am able to drag the window about and change the ratio. Is there any way to actually make the video a bit thinner and wider in ratio so that I don’t miss as much of the video when I event pan/crop??

You Tube will make your video either 4:3 or 16:9, whichever You Tube decides is closest to your project. You have little control over how You Tube re-encodes the video. If you want a 16:9 You Tube video you have to upload a 16:9 video.
And that little sliver of white on the side is likely to only bother you.

You can uncheck “Maintain aspect ratio” and do it, but the players will look thinner.
