I have been going nuts all week trying figure this out:

I have a few MPEG 1 Files that are 5 to 6 hours long (video depositions). Simple enough, my client needs me to increase the audio levels and make into new MPEGs.

I have tried in Vegas 7, and in Soundforge 7. Every time I process the audio (sound forge volume, or sound forge normalize) the audio goes out of sync. At around the 5 hour mark I am at least 2 seconds off. I have tried many ways to time stretch the audio to fool it back into sync, but with no luck.

I tried copying and stacking the audio track in order to increase the volume without using a filter/processor and when I export to MPEG 1 (Main Concept VCD) – Out of sync.

    352 x 240 x 32

Any suggestions? I’m running out of time and hate to be defeated on this.

    Thanks,

    Jim
