Hi, I have a 2 minute clip that I have edited in Sony Vegas Pro 9. I want it to be rendered in full screen. I don’t know much about rendering. Also, what format do you suggest, that would render under 700 MB while maintaining high quality?

    Thanks.

    Define “full screen”.

Encoded file size is determined by the encoding bitrate. A high bitrate makes really high quality, and really large files. A low bitrate makes small files and poor quality. What you want depends mostly on the intended playback device, media and audience.

What format are you trying to render it for? Internet? DVD?

Your render settings depend a lot on your project settings. If you have 4×3 footage shot in 720×480 at 30 fps, then render at those settings with a pixel aspect ratio of .9091.

What kind of camera did you shoot on? Is the footage interlaced?

Also, use the search function. Lots of people on here, including myself, have had questions about render settings, and it’s something that everyone goes through. I’d bet that somewhere your question has been answered.
