    Hi,
I am getting a blur after I render from Vegas Pro 10. I am shooting with a Canon T2i mounted on an Octocopter. I shoot in 720 at 60 FPS, the footage looks great when played directly from the SD card.
Can you tell me how I should be importing and then rendering in Vegas Pro 10?
    Thank You
    Here is a sample.

[Gary Graf] “I shoot in 720 at 60 FPS,”

Why are you shooting at 60fps? The blur is probably caused by frame blending 60fps down to 30fps that YouTube and every other video device requires. You might solve it by right-clicking on every event in your project and selecting Disable resample. This will force it to drop every other frame to get 60fps down to 30fps. Which then begs the question, “Why shoot at 60fps if you are not doing special slow motion effects?”

Since there is no way to deliver 60fps, you might want to consider shooting 30fps and avoiding this problem entirely. I believe Danny Hays shoots 60p and loves it. I’m sure he might have a few tricks up his sleeve on how to deal with this.

    Hi John,
Thanks for the quick response. I shoot in 60fps because I do Aerial videography from small remote controlled copters. I like to slow down the footage to make it look even more stable. Here is a sample.

Did you make a custom project setting as well as a custom render setting? If you want to play back at 60p, you have to do this. Set project settings to this.

I would render as Main Concept AVC/mp4 like this.

Up the bitrate to something close to the original file.
Set to best in the project tab on the render as tab.
You can play it back on a fast computer but that’s about it.

    Hi,
I disabled the resample and the blur is alot better but the video skips a little.

WOW! That is really nice and smooth motion. I can see why you want to use 60p. Thanks for sharing (and making me wish my back yard looked like that) 😉

What Quadracopter are you using? I’ve been looking at them for a while here and the T2 is a pretty heavy lift.

I made 2 custom Octocopters that can carry a T2i and a Quadcopter that carries a Go Pro HD camera.
    Hi Stephen,
I built 2 custom Octocopters that can easily carry a T2i and I also built a Quadcopter to carry a Go Pro HD Camera.
I have solved my blurring issue. Thanks for all the help.
I did a shoot today for a landscaping company, here is a short test sample.
