I have a question for the forum that I really could use a response to quickly as I’m right in the middle of building a production for one of my clients. I’ve never seen this happen in Vegas before so I’m very frustrated. I’m currently running Vegas Pro 10 version c. I I am on a very fast machine with an I seven 900 series processor, and Nvidia video card, 8 GB of free RAM, and SATA three drives.
Here’s what I’m experiencing, I have built a production that has currently about nine timelines which consists of text, video, graphics, special effects. What I have noticed is that it hardly plays back at all when I do a playback on Vegas’s preview monitor. the playback is very jerky even though I’m all the way down into the preview draft area. I’m also having a problem with just adding things to the timeline they take forever to either post move about or manipulate. Everything has approximately a 1 to 2 second lag. I’ve not experience this with Vegas nine so if anyone has some suggestions as to how to correct the problem I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance and if more information is needed please do not hesitate to ask.

First try reducing so many of the timelines you have in that workflow,
Then also try saving parts to vegas files and dropping them back on
the timeline as any other video file…(Read up on Nesting in Vegas)
