  Trembling, Watery Effect

  Hello,

  Is there an effect in Sony Vegas that looks like the clip is trembling?

  For example: Jurassic Park, the dinosaur arrives, you hear the steps and see the water tremble.

  Is there an effect that makes the whole clip tremble like water does if in the background i have a thump going on rhythmically?

  Use Pan/Crop and use several quick keyframes so that it appears to be shaking/bouncing.
  You will probably need to zoom in during the bounces so that you don’t get any black borders but this will add to the effect so don’t be concerned about it.

  I recall seeing a “making of” video about JP. They actually did shake the coffee. And the pond was really shaken with a sledge hammer just out of the shot.

  You could use a displacement map. You would need to drive this with a real ripple. I believe Boris BCC7 has a ripple FX. You could keyframe it to do what you want.
