  DVD Architect 3.0 and Windows 7

  I have several projects that I prepared in Vegas 6 using Win XP. I’ve since upgraded to Windows 7, and Vegas 6 seems to work well. However, DVD Architect 3.0 that comes with Vegas 6 isn’t supported. It just hangs when I get to the “make movie” stage. What a pain!

  I’ve tried using Windows DVD maker with my MPEG files, but unlike DVDA, it only imports the video stream … no audio. From what I read, I’m not the only one who has experienced this problem.

  I’ve also tried using DVDA in compatibility mode … same problem. Is there any way I can tweak DVDA 3.0 to make it work with the new op. system … or am I stuck with having to buy the new versions?

  Unlike Vegas (which several users have reported older versions working under Windows 7), older versions of DVDA do not so you have to decide whether you’re going to upgrade to Pro 10 ($240), buy a version of Movie Studio ($50 to $125) or buy DVD Architect Studio (only $50) to keep using Vegas 6.

  Thanks for the quick reply.

  I really like DVD Architect and as Vegas 6 does everything I need, it will be worth the $50 to get the DVDA Studio you suggest. I assume it won’t have any problem accepting my Vegas 6 projects?

  Wendy, I think it will but call or ask Customer Service for clarification as I don’t want to mislead you.

  Actually, I downloaded the trial version and it works perfectly with Vegas 6, so I’ll be purchasing it.
