I have a clip that pans across a football stadium, but the camera moves pretty fast. I want to add slow motion so it goes slower. I tried cntrl and dragging the clip to extend it and it works however the clip is now jittery as well as in slow motion. Is there a way to make it smoother in slow motion?

    Thanks

You would need a plug-in like BCC Optical Flow (part of Boris Continuum Complete 7) to intelligently synthesize new frames. Vegas will only blend frames which has it’s limitations (as you have seen).

Not a hard and fast rule, but I generally consider 50% slower to be a maximum usable value. (I know it’s a superstition leftover from the dark days of interlaced video, but it’s still a good rule of thumb I suppose.)
