Using track media. I have removed old video and replaced it with new in Sony Architect.

Now in scene selection all the buttons (which took me a day to do) are offline.

They play correctly but all the pictures which were carefully inserted by using media/thumbnail properties/start from the beginning of each scene have now disappeared.

    I hope someone can help
    Thank you

As far as DVD Architect is concerned, it’s still looking for the original video which, by your own admission, is no longer there.
You’re going to have to re-do each and every button telling it that there’s new video and where to look for it.

Mike Is there anyway of doing this without deleting the whole of scene selection (and all the buttons) and starting again? ie getting the buttons the right size and the right position on the page, Getting the scene selection page the right colour etc.

I am puzzled when I press on these offline buttons the right scene comes up.

I am sure Sony wouldnt intend us to do all this extra work everytime we replaced an updated video.

    Thank you

“I am puzzled when I press on these offline buttons the right scene comes up.”

    I’m puzzled by that too.
It sounds like DVDA was smart enough to recognize the changes and compensate for it.
Have you tried previewing it (or burning a DVD) to see if it does work properly?

Mike I have managed two ways of doing it.

The first way worked with the first project but not with the second project but the second way worked with the second project.

    1. I removed the video entirely then I closed the programme. After I opened it again and it said did I want to find a replacement (as well as other options) I clicked on this and found the new file. Everything was in its proper place with pictures etc.

    2. I went into track media and instead of remove I clicked on replace. This again worked fine.

This particular video had a significant change at the beginning so it was easy to see it had replaced with the new one.

    Best wishes

Pesha, I’ve never had to do this so I’m glad that it can be done.
Thanks very much for posting your solutions as I sure it will help others in the same situation.
