Audio question
VP10c.
I have a question on general on audio.
I have been rendering some .mov/QT files for display on an apple. I have been rendering at 3MBPS and 5MPBS
I have noticed that the a lot of teh time the audio sounds slightly ‘phased’ or flanged. The effect is not very noticable – but just enough to be annoying..
It got me to thinking as to whether there was anything in the 44,100 / 48,000 difference.
For example, I have a project which contains a number of audio clips – some at 44,100 and some at 48,000. In my render settings the audio is set to 48,000 by default, and I leave it as is…
Does Vegas do some sort of sampling to convert the audio all up to 48,000 – is this something likely to impact on audio quality etc?
I have been hunting around looking for a good description of how vegas processes audio, but nothing really came to light…
Thanks for any info.
