    Hi All

I was wondering if there are any good anti shake video fx filters for Vegas. Preferably freeware, although a trial may work as I only have a minute or so of video to edit. Looking forward to your thoughts. Thanks.

For freeware, you can use this one:

Prodad has a paid deshaker: Mercalli. And Vegas 10 comes with its own version of Mercalli.

Which version of Vegas are you using?
Both Pro 10 and Movie Studio HD 10 came with a light version of Mercali.

Thanks. Just discovered that. Will give it a try.

The version of Mercalli that comes with Vegas 10 is OK but it doesn’t compare with the newer version of Mercalli that can be purchased. It’s really amazing.

Unfortunately the 1/2 price sale on this excellent product at Digital Juice is now over and it’s back to regular price (just under $200 U.S.).

Thanks for all the advice guys. For my short clip, the Vegas 10 sufficed.

Does the pro version behave like a FX filter (i.e., something that I can chain with other effects and toggle in and off)? Also, is it not as aggressive on zooming in on the clip to track and stabilize camera shake? The built-in stabilization really zooms in a LOT, even on relatively light shaking. Also, is there any control over WHERE the pluton zooms in? Can you specify, for example, tracked boundaries for the pluton to restrict it’s zooming?

    Thanks!
