    Hi all,

Was wondering can anyone tell me in DVD-ARCH how I can set a DVD to automatically load itself to the menu page, like the way a movie rental does?

When the DVD is inserted into a standard DVD player, I want the DVD to automatically go to its menu page, without the user having to press MENU on the remote.

    Many thanks.

The default setting in DVDA is for a menu screen when it first starts.
Add your rendered file(s) to the main screen and you’ll have your menu.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reply. I know how to set up the menu page on DVD-Arch, I think maybe you misunderstood my question!

What I’m saying is that when I create a menu-based DVD and when I place the finished DVD in my DVD player, the DVD just sits there, and doesn’t automatically start playing the MENU page. When i insert a movie rental for example, it starts playing the menu page automatically.

    Do you understand me now?

It ends up looking like this.

Andy, if I understand what you’re looking for, you need to look into animated menus.
I’ve never done it but the procedure is covered in the online help menu.

I think the OP is asking about “first play”.
