    I see lots of videos on YT where people have “cut” a certain area/part of another clip and placed it on that video. I’ll give you a written example:
    Somebody cuts a real life cat (from a video) and then places it in a clip of The Simpsons.

    How is that done so the cat doesn’t have any/much outline and it is just that moving cat? It sounds complicated but if you understand please tell me how (or link me to a tutorial).

    That is what you would call masking and Chroma Keying
    (isnt complicated)….And can be done in Vegas. Just do
    some read up on those features.

    You might want to take a look at Matthew Chaboud’s Vegas tutorial Two Cats From One. It will show you how to do this using differencing which is harder than using a green screen and chroma key but if you don’t have a green screen and chroma key this might work.
