Vegas Pro 10 Region Markers
I am using region markers in my project because I shot an interview and need to cut it up into the various questions, so i have decided for the first time to use region markers so it makes it easier for me to see which clip i am working on.
I want to know is there any way of grouping/linking the region to the clip so that when i move the clip the region moves with it.
Also is this a good use of regions or am i using regions for the wrong purpose.

Unfortunately no.
A really clumsy workaround is to hold the Alt key while moving the Region marker to the new location and then dragging the event to fill in the new hole.“Also is this a good use of regions or am i using regions for the wrong purpose.”
From the online help menu:
From the Insert menu, choose Region to add region tags at each end of the current selection. Regions can be used to indicate sections of projects such as credits or scenes, or they can be used to make notes in the project.
A roundabout way of saying that this isn’t a good use of regions.
If you need to know the event name, go View – Active Take Information (Ctrl+Shift+i).
This is a drawback if you’ve split one event into several different segments.You can make subclips of the original event.
The drawback to doing this is that you can no longer stretch the beginning or end of the event to make it longer. -
I agree with Mike. This isn’t a good use of Regions. Regions are areas of the Timeline and have nothing to do with clips.

Maybe a better way to mark the clips (events) is to put the region of that event into the Trimmer and then set start and end markers. These markers will then show up on the event in the timeline and will move when the event is moved. They just aren’t as easily seen as timeline markers or regions as they are embedded in the event itself.
