Just curious if anyone would know why this is happening… (sorry in advance- this is a little long) I have a group of 3d boxes that I made in separate comps. I bring them all into a master comp, set their 3d and rasterize switches and go about placing them in 3d space. They intersect in places, but this is what I want – I’m trying to create a staggered look with different text sitting on different boxes. Light the scene – fly the camera around – hit all my points -Great! I’m so happy this going to work out! Turn on the motion blur and much to my chagrin the edges of one central box (i’ll call it box A) is cutting through the other boxes (i.e. boxes in front of it in 3d space) as I fly around the scene BUT only when the camera is at a hard 90 degree angle to an edge of box A and only when motion blur is on. The distortion only occurs for one frame – but it is definitely noticeable and driving me crazy. When motion blur is off it works fine- no weirdness showing through. Little background – Motion blur is engaged in all the box precomps and all their settings match. Master comp is 16bpc and 24 fps. Don’t know if this will help diagnose the problem, but it seems to get a bit better (though not completely better) if I set the shutter angle to 60 or lower, but then i’m not getting the kind of blur i want. Any suggestions on what’s going on here would be greatly appreciated!
