    Hi Guys,
I “trimed” my timeline in AE from 300 frames to 150 frames.
After compositing, motion tracking, 20 layers added, etc… I realized that I need 2 seconds more of the clip. Not 2 seconds ahead, but 2 seconds earlier.
So I opened COMP SETTINGS/ and added 48 frames. I then Highlighted ALL my LAYERS and slid the layers to the end of the timeline (Right SIDE). I then began to “PULL” the footages to the Left or Begining of the timeline.
    HERES MY PROBLEM:
Any PRECOMPS don’t extend. So I doubled clicked on the PRECOMP, I added 48 frames to that comp. But It didn’t work. I could EXTEND it only to the right,(the end on the timeline)
    QUESTION:
How do you add time to the begining of a comp (NOT add time at the end of it) and extend the PRECOMPS?
    I hope I’m making sense,
    Thanks,
    Lou

    Not stupid. 🙂

I’d add the time at the end of each precomp, then go into each precomp and select-all-drag the layers in each precomp just as you did in the main comp.

    Anybody else?

    I thought I tried that?
I went into the precomp, added time, dragged the layer, went back to the main comp and tried to pull the front edge. No luck. It extended at the end of the comp but not the begining.

Hmm? I better try it again and… think this time 🙂
    Bye,
    Lou
