Rendering Theora
i have vegas 8.1, win7, 64 bit and would like to render directly to theora and vorbis in an ogg container. can do?

No. Vegas only supports vorbis audio in an ogg container.

First of all can i just say i am sorry for not following the thread but as i know you have advised on a subject in the past called FILE FRUSTRATION i wondered if you might be able to help me.
My problem is that when i am using SONY VEGAS and i try to put .VEG file on the timeline i get a message that reads “A nested project source media file was not found”.
In your reply to FILE FRUSTRATION you advised that one should determine which nested project has the missing file. If you don’t know just right-click each nested project in turn and select Edit Source Project. Then in that project switch to the Project Media tab and press the Remove All Unused Media From Project button (it’s the lightning bolt icon) and then Save the project (this is very important).
I am having difficult in finding the nested projects. Can you tell where i might find them

The easiest way is probably to go to the Project Media tab and change the view to Detailed mode. Then scroll down the file names in the list looking for any file that ends with .veg and then right-click on one and select Edit in Vegas.
