Is it possible to have an invisible text layer that produces a shadow? I know the Drop Shadow effect can be set to “Shadow only” – is something similar possible with 3D lights?

Here is what I’m trying to achieve…

Text floating in front of a wall, text says “The End”
Shadow visible on wall behind text, shadow says “The Beginning”

I’m sure I could just make a fuzzy text layer that looks like a shadow, but I was just wondering if 3D lights can produce shadows from an invisible object.
