  Best settings for working with large HD files? prerendering subclips to free ram?

  Hey guys… does anyone know a work around this ridiculous FileSurrogateIO problem I have 3min trailer that I am forced to use 10c with. Was working ok till I added about 50 subclips. There are maybe 100 total 6sec 1080p h.264 clips.

  Is there a way to just do prerendered subclips and only use those instead of the damn computer trying everything. I have about 100 clips from 2 hours of footage.

  This is just the strangest crap… how does sony expect professionals to use such buggy crap????!!!

  I wanted to try a proxy edit but the script i had was going to take oh 10 hours to convert 1080p to like 480p Windows Video Files or AVI.

  So I think I have all the best setting to free up as much ram as possible… any suggestions this needs to be all finished today!
