Can’t open .veg file ASAP!
Hey guys. I have Sony Vegas 9 Pro and it had been working fine for ages until a few days ago where it started to get really choppy and started to crash.
I was editing a montage and I noticed that started to get very high CPU usage notifcations about Vegas (something not happening before) and my previews were become unwatchable. Also, some clips I added into the project had black frames that sometimes appeared and sometimes didn’t.
So I decided to uninstall it and to redownload it and to reinstall to see if it works. Problem now is, I’m trying to open the .veg file I used for the montage but the loading bar at the bottom freezes at 37% and the the program goes into an unresponsive mode. Then it crashes and the error report screen pops up, with these problem details:
Problem Description
Application Name: Vegas Pro
Application Version: Version 9.0e (Build 1147)
Problem: Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)
Fault Module: C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 9.0\vegas90.exe
Fault Address: 0x10BA38A0
Fault Offset: 0x10BA38A0Now I ought to tell you that when I first reintsalled Vegas today, it couldn’t open my file and it say it could be corrupted. I looked for some solutions to this, and apparently you have to do update the software – which I did. Now, the error message doesn’t pop up but instead the loading of the opening of the .veg file goes to 37% and then crashes.
I tried opening the .veg.bak (backup file) although that appeared with an earlier save of the file, which is not very useful to me as some work is lost.
Can anyone help me with this, as I need to complete the montage by tomorrow!
