  • better H-264 support in Vegas 10c?

Some time ago I purchased Neoscene intermediary codec to edit my Canon 5d footage. Editing native H-264 files was nearly impossible when working with projects a few minutes long but..

after installing Sony Vegas 10c I noticed that it’s possible to smoothly edit a project with H-264 files. I just stopped using Neoscene since some time.

Am I mistaken or Sony team improved workflow for these files in Vegas 10c?

    Exerpt from release notes:
“Improved performance when reading MXF, QuickTime AVC, and QuickTime AVC/H.264 video.”
so you are not mistaken 😉

At last… transcoding big projects to Neoscene was a cumbersome process.

I just switched from Vegas 8 to version 10. Editing AVCHD is a breeze. Version 8 would not read the video I captured in Final Cut Pro. Version 10 reads and edits the FCP captured video without a problem.
