Hey guys, sorry to bother but I couldn’t find an answer to my problem on the forum.

Here’s what happened. I was working on Vegas 9 about 3 weeks ago and suddenly, after I restarted my computer it seemed that the software got corrupted. Could not open a single project.

I reinstalled the software and was able to recover part of the project I was working on.

Yesterday I went to another project that I’ve been working on to render the videos I had there and the project just don’t open.

Vegas runs to 2% and comes this message:
“An error occurred while loading file***.veg.
An error occurred reading the file. Make sure you have read access to the file/folder and that it is not corrupted.”

This project is a series of interviews.
So I have 4 Vegas projects that happens the exactly same thing.

Other older projects that I have would open just fine.
For some reason, just these 4 projects don’t open.

If anyone has a solution for this I’ll be SUPER THANKFUL!

Run ‘chkdsk’ to make sure your filesystem is not corrupted.

    Thanks for the tip Steve.

I did it and it didn’t show any problems with the files.
So what I just did was copy the project to an external HD and opened them on another machine with Vegas Pro 9.

    It worked. Them opened fine.
So I went to “regedit” and deleted all the “sony creative software” and reinstalled Vegas 9.

    Now it’s working fine.

    Thank You
