  Effects On A Video

  Hey guys,

  Random question – I am using Sony VegAs 8 and messing around with effects and currently trying to match the effects as the below video has:

  I notice that I am using a similar if not better quality HD camera than these people are, but the darkness and quality of the video is something I am aiming for.

  Can you suggest the effects or filters they are using to acheive these results?

  I would start with Color Curves in a nice big ‘S’ to crush the blacks and blow out the whites and then desaturate it a bit with either of the Color Correctors. That should get you close.
