  • Sony Vegas Frame Rate Problem when I capture desktop screen

Posted by Ali Bazzi on January 18, 2011 at 9:19 am

I will try to be clear here:

I downloaded a software to capture my desktop screen, because I needed to record a video (lips singing video) on youtube. When I finished recording, I Imported the video to Sony Vegas, but the lips singing went off. If I play the file by itslef, it would go normal and the lips singing is accurate. But when I import it to Sony Vegas, I don’t know what happens to the Frame rate.

Did you guys understand me? I know its a wired problem, but I hope you guys know this.

    I will say it again.

    1) I recorded a video on my laptop using a screen capture
    2) played it and it was normal
    3) imported it to Sony Vegas, Lips singing went it
    4) I didn’t know what to do … why is the video ‘lips’ moving faster than the audio?

Please I need the answer as soon as possible. Thanks!

What video and audio codecs are you using for capture?

Make sure that your project properties match your video properties. Use the Match Media Settings button in the Project Properties to make sure.

I did but the video would still go faster than the audio.

    More details to the situation:

If I play the video from the beginning, everything is matching for about 8 seconds then the video starts going faster. If I play it from any Frame (any second) it works only for 8 seconds or so … then that’s when it things start changing.

    Did you understand this part?

Again, From where ever I play the video, it seems okay at first then it speeds up.

    File Type: MPG
    1,360 X 768
    Frame Rate: 25

    Please Help!

I think It worked now, I re-captured the video using wmv – 30 frames and without the audio.

    Thanks!
