  Vegas won’t start

  Hi,
  I installed Vegas 10b, but it won’t start.
  No splash screen – nothing.
  Cleaned the registry uninstalled it then installed again – no luck.

  Any ideas?

  Any luck John?

  I’m having the same problem, except it started with a Vegas crash, after which it wouldn’t launch. Here’s what I have tried:

  Uninstalling all Sony Creative Software, .NET, C++ Redistributable, MySQL Server, and deleting all Sony registry keys (using the process described in Sony’s knowledgebase). Many restarts during the process. Deleted all Sony directories from the computer. Reinstalled Vegas using the vegas100b update from the website.

  It seemed to install just fine and I was able to enter my registration information, but then when trying to start the program it doesn’t do anything. No log files, nothing in the event viewer. Restarted and tried again. Nothing. It’s exasperating.

  I should mention I’m on Win7 64-bit and using Vegas Pro 10 64 bit.
