Where can I find Quicktime 7.6.2?
Posted by Norman Willis on December 12, 2010 at 5:54 amI am reformatting to Win7 x64. I understand Quicktime 7.6.9 causes issues.
Where can one find Quicktime 7.6.2 (malware free)? Thanks.

December 12, 2010 at 2:56 pmSteve, I have not heard of any issues with the latest version of Quicktime (7.6.9), Win7x64 and Vegas Pro 10.0a. I am just aware from earlier threads that there are sometimes issues with Quicktime, so I thought to install the latest known good version (which from other threads seemed to be 7.6.2). Is that wrong?
Are others having success with Quicktime 7.6.9? My preference is to install the latest version, but I don’t want to ‘step into bugs.’
Should I go ahead and install 7.6.9, and then if that does not work, uninstall it and download 7.6.2 from the Avid site?
I apologize for any ignorance. Video is a sideline for me, and I am not able to keep up on the COW as well as I want.

There seems to be some confusion so let’s be very specific about this:
Versions of Vegas Pro prior to 9.0d need Quicktime 7.6.2 or earlier.
Versions of Vegas Pro from 9.0d forward work with any version of Quicktime 7.
I am using Quicktime 7.6.8 and it works fine. I do not allow Quicktime to auto update itself so I haven’t tried 7.6.9 yet but 7.6.8 works great with Vegas Pro 10.a.
