Brightness/Contrast increase on render
Hello,
I’ve been having a problem recently that I now believe is a fault of the render process: using Vegas 9e, rendering to a .m2ts ends up with videos that have blown-out whites, as if the brightness/contrast has been raised a good 20-30%.
Originally, I thought it was the TVs I’ve been playing back on but given I’ve shot on different cameras; cut on two or three different systems; rendered SD and HD; and played back via DVD and PS3 on different SD/HD TVs/monitors; a side-by-side comparison ostensibly reveals the render is to blame.
There’s nothing in the project settings that stands out as the culprit, and although I’m doing a lot of post (colour correction, FX, etc) the render should be near-as-dammit identical to the preview.
I’d rather not put on an arbitrary curve to counteract the effect. Has anyone experienced this before?
Thanks in advance.
