Okay, so I’m helping edit service video for a church. The video is given to me on a dvd. The other people helping to edit are using iMovie and everything is automatic. I’m obviously using the Main Concept AVC to render to the same settings which are 480X270… don’t ask me why but this is what their Mac is putting out (iphone compatible).

Anyway, I’ve got custom settings that match the 480X270 however my video is about 1.6X larger in size and the website and podcast take longer to load (makes sense). The only difference I see in properties is that the Mac product is 480X270X24 and my PC product is 480X270X12. Any way to make this match up or fix any other issues I’m having?

    Thanks

Bitrate is primarily what determines the file size. You are probably using a higher bitrate than they are. Cut your bitrate down and your files will be smaller. See if they can tell you what bitrate iMovie uses.
