    Hey guys,

I had found this website a few times with searching for other vegas based problems. So i decided to make an account 🙂

So heres my problem, I am trying to render a call of duty based video recorded with my HD PVR, it consists of clips from many different videos all taken within a space of about 2 hours. When i render it, some of the clips are frozen at the last frame of the previous clip and dont move until the next clip. The audio is still played.

Is this a Bit rate issue? Because i do know that HD PVR recordings can differ in bit rate by up to 1MB on the same settings, i try and make my render bit rate as close to the average as possible but this always seems to happen when i am rendering videos with multiple recordings.

I would be very grateful if someone could help me out.

    Chears,

    Cammi

Firstly, the problem lies with the device (HD PVR)you are using to capture your footages…And you didnt mention what you were playing the finished project back thru or what format you rendered it in

Well all the original footage from the HD PVR is in AVCHD format and plays through brilliantly with Windows Media Player, and also the preview in sony vegas also plays the video correctly. I render the file in Windows Media video V11, the format i have always used. I then watch the rendered footage back again in WMP.

Wonderful….Now that explanation is so much more helpful.
OK, Render it instead as DV NTSC and let me know if it still
    falters when done.

Rendering is now fine.. but holy moly! A new error! This seems to be a particularly popular and annoying error by the looks of things. “System low on memory, try closing some applications” Grrrr.. this is really getting annoying now. After looking about it is caused when your project is full of complicated colour changes and all sorts of splits and cuts all over the place(which mine is.)

Now the answer im seeing in most places is to cut your projects into little chunks, render them into one video then put all the little chunks together to make a much simpler render for vegas. I spend my whole day doing – Copy, delete, render, delete, paste, copy, delete, render and so on. I finally finish and put all the clips together. The project now consists of 6 or 7 average length clips. So i start the render, and boom, within seconds i get the Low memory error. When it appeared at about 3/4’s of the way through the render previously.

What can possibly be making Vegas do this, in my early editing days i rendered projects much more complex than the re-furbushed one i just put together without so much as a eye roll from vegas. I really dont want to have to once again learn the basics to yet another editing programme where i can barely even find the render button.

    Please Help!
