    Hi!

When making DVD in Architect Studio 5.0 I get a hardware error:

    Module d:\source\sonic3\release\dvdarchitect\studio5.0\cddrvs\sfcd\sfmmcx.cpp Line 2187
    A hardware error occurred.

You installed any new programme recently?

    I have.
And I know I can restore the previous settings in Windows.
But I need the newly installed programs …
I have also updated Windows 7
I guess that the problem may lie more in the operating system than the Architect …
But I find no solution to the problem
    Help, anyone…?

Does this occur when you prepare the DVD files or when you burn the DVD?

Is the DVD burner internal or external? (If external, you could have a bad USB cable or port).

Are you burning at the highest speed available? DON’T.

The problem arises in the process of burning the DVD.
DVD burner is internal. Have tried several speeds.

The strange thing is that it occasionally works. Regardless of the burn speed.

    “it occasionally works”
This screams of hardware problems. DVD burners are cheap, buy a new one. If the problem persists then you may have other system problems, but you will have a spare VD burner.

    Other things to try:
Have you tried the Windows DVD burn program?
Get the demo of Nero and try burning the disk from there.

I also have this problem. I have tried 5.2 also with failure. My burner is an HP burner. I bought a new one and had the same failure. I have also tried different speeds resulting in the same failure. The error code reads:

    ‘SFMMCX’-(17)
    ”-(2)
    -‘HP DVD Writer 1260r MH23’-(0)
    Module d:\source\sonic3\release\dvdarchitect\5.2\cddrvs\sfcd\sfmmcx.cpp Line 1912
    A hardware error occurred.
Logical unit communication CRC error (ULTRA-DMA/32)

    Status: 00020202

I can burn data disks just fine.

    Any help would be appreciated.
