  • Video won’t skip forward in WMP after render

I have a Sony HD mem stick cam.

When i drag an MTS file that was recorded upside down and rotate it in vegas 10.

I then select render to sony avc hd 1920*1080 with 5.1 sound.

When i open the resulting m2ts file in windows 7 WMP or VLC. Like the picture is frozen (like a screenshot) when i try and skip forward.

However when i open this file in Total media theater 3 it is fine.

How can i get the render to skip forward nicely in WMP?

One more thing? It works successfully on a 2min video file, but not a 13 minute video file on my q6600 quad core?

Sounds like a player issue. Nothing that Vegas can do about that.

But, I haven’t used WMP for years, preferring the VLC Media Player.

Thanks Stephen that sort of makes sense. But vlc does this as well? I was thinking what you said or an encoding issue in Vegas?

The issue i have with VLC is that the colours and contrast are not set up properly (too bright).

I have to change the settings each time i open VLC for each video file.

Is there any way to have permanent colour and brightness settings saved?
