Capturing HD w/Vegas
ok this is my first time trying to capture HD w/Vegas.
I have a sony fx7 camera.
Vidcap 6 will recognize the camera when i turn it on, will control it, but no video is displayed.
In Vegas 9 i tried using the ‘capture video’ under file menu, asked me for dv or hdv so i picked hdv.
controls work, video is previewed, but i cannot set timecode in and timecode out points.
i can capture video manually, by hitting the record and stop buttons.
why can’t i setup clips to capture like in using vidcap6??

This is a common complaint that Sony has never bothered to fix.
I don’t think it will allow it either but give HDVSplit (it’s free) a try. -
so there isn’t an application out there in which you can specifiy in/out times like vidcap 6 – – for HD???
(hdvslpit doesn’t do it either)
