  Sony Vegas 8 Pro crashes at “Querying addition plug-in interfaces”

  Hi, I recently had this problem and I do not what I did to make this problem suddenly occur… It might be DirectX plug-in or something cause it takes quite some time to load that and once it reaches the “querying addition plug-in interfaces” my computer freezes and restarts… Most people just have a “an error occured” message, but I require a restart? It might be a DirectX problem cause I recently installed a game that was created in 2004 and it installs directx. It might be an older version of DirectX that’s what’s causing the problem but I’m still unsure and don’t know how to update my directx… I appreciate your help.

  Have you tried temporarily moving your plug-ins folder somewhere else (like your Desktop) before opening Vegas?

  installed directX 9, still crashing to restart… really need your help guys 🙁

  Yes I tried that, still crashes.
