Subtitle track names in DVD Architect
I have added 2 subtitle tracks to my movie. When I play it on my SONY blu ray player it defaults as no subtitles which is correct. When I press the subtitles button on my remote, the first one that somes up is 1: English, which is also correct. When I press it again it comes up 2: 1703 (or some meaningless number like that), instead of 2: Czech.
How can I solve this so that it says Czech or Cesky or whatever?
The Czech subtitles work fine and everything, but, being a perfectionist, I’d like the DVD to display the language name properly.

Yes, I selected it from the pull-down menu in DVDA. The code was ‘cs’.

I just opened a old project that had a whopping 26 subtitle tracks. They all show up correct, even on a DVD player.
I too use a semi-transparent black background. The size gets automatically corrected by height but not by width.
About 4 years ago when we got into subtitles we tried Adobe products (and a few others) DVDA beat them all hands down. I wonder what the score would be today?

One other thing.
Be sure your .sub files are saved in a unicode font or it will realy mess up the special characters.

I’m pretty sure there’s no solution to this (for auto-width) in DVDA too.
It’s such a basic thing in other software, e.g. PowerPoint, to have a text box auto-size. Oh well.

Very clear and easy to read.
And regarding the Czech thing showing up as ‘1703’, maybe it’s my (dare I say it) SONY Blu ray player that has the issue, and not DVDA or, indeed me!

Blu-ray players are notorious for needing constant firmware updates. Make sure your player has the latest firmware. I would also try on another player just to be sure.
