Just curious what brand of video camera do you guys use?

My main camera is the Sony HVR-Z1U with a second camera being the Sony HVR-A1U. Both are HDV.

    HI,
I’m using a Canon GL2 for SD. This is a great camera for traveling with, but not so good in low light situations. I’m really surprised that the GL2 can still be purchased because HD is the way to go now a days.

I agree. All HDV cameras also shoot SD DV so it makes absolutely no sense to purchase an SD camcorder today. For the price of a Canon GL2 you could get a Sony HDR-FX7 HDV 1080i Camcorder and still shoot SD DV if the job called for it.

I also use a Sony Z1-U and two Ai-Us. For our Syndicated TV show we rent XD-Cams. I also carry a Kodak ZI-8 in my pocket at all times for unexpected video needs
