Activity Forums VEGAS Pro Audio is too faint

    Go into the AC3 template that you are using and change the Dialog normalization on the Audio Service tab to about -30dB. Then on the Preprocessing tab, set the Line mode and RF mode profile both to None. That should make the audio more true to what is in Vegas.

    Dialogue normalization was at -27dB, and the other two boxes were set at something else. I am re-rendering now.

    Just so I know, if I make the Dialogue Normalization -20dB, does that make it louder, or softer?

    -20dB would be a lot softer. It’s opposite of what you might think.
