  Unable to edit FX

  Hi, I am using Vegas Studio Platinum 9.0.
  The problem I have is that I am unable to edit video FX when they are applied to a clip. I have a clip with a lens flare FX added. However when I double click on the event FX icon in the bottom right hand corner of the event nothing happens. Usually the video fx window appears. (The cropping option will open however). I can open the plug in chooser by right clicking the icon. I can see that the lens flare effect is applied, but there is no editing option. I have edited this effect several times in the past, so it is baffling why i can’t do it now. Have i completely missed something here?
