DVDA: Overhead?
I am just starting Disk 3 of the VASST Absolute DVD series. When I open DVDA it shows 0.6GB file size (before I ever enter anything).
I re-rendered my project using Mark’s Bitrate Calculator, and got about the same numbers as the Javascript bitrate calculator that John Rofrano recommended. Thirty hours later I got an MPEG-2 of 4.42GB. Audio is 0.158GB. So when I put those into DVDA I get a warning that I am at 4.9GB! (Larger than my 4.7GB DVD-R).
I wrote Sony, and they said to put everything into DVDA, and it would render everything to MPEG-2. But isn’t my DVDA NTSC Video Stream already MPEG-2?
Do I need to render a third time, rounding the numbers down a little? Or do I let DVDA compress it again? Thanks.
