  AE conflicts with AI

  Hi guys.

  This is my first post after countless times of reading the forum and finding it so helpful that I finally decided to register.

  Anyway, my problem is that on my work computer there is a really annoying conflict going on between After Effects and Illustrator. The two will generally not run simultaneously, starting AE while AI is running of vice versa will cause the former to not start at all or be otherwise unusable (random error sounds without error message, file open dialog doesn’t work).

  Not only is this extremely annoying, it’s a huge time waster. I googled around and found nothing about it. I’m running CS3 on WINXP32 with an intel quad processor and 2gigs of RAM (which, come to think of it, could be why).

  Any ideas?
