  Trimmer and VASST Absolute Training DVD 2

  I am in the VASST Absolute Training DVD #2. It is a great set, with tons of good information. I am learning a lot, but I have some questions. I am in the first section of DVD #2, where it talks about the Trimmer. I cannot get my Vegas Pro 9.0e to duplicate the behavior DSE is describing.

  I have Auto-Preview (arrow with the triangle above it) enabled, and Start Preview (‘play’ triangular arrowhead) is enabled. When I select a clip in the Explorer, the icon changes to a ‘play’ arrowhead and the clip plays, but I don’t see any wave-form. Also, when I press ‘A’ to insert something into the timeline, nothing happens.

  What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

  you need to have the Trimmer selected to ADD (A)
  Keystrokes for that function are I (in) O (out) A (add)

  You won’t see a waveform when viewing from Explorer. Only when you are in Trimmer or Timeline.
